Carrie Haskins is a young singer songwriter from kildare and describes her style as ‘country crossover’.
In 2011, she reached the battle stages of RTE's 'The Voice of Ireland', and unfortunately lost out due to stylistic differences. She has been studying music for the past few years, firstly in the Ballyfermot College of Further Education, and now in BIMM Dublin where she is a part of the College's House Band. She is currently co-writing with many songwriters from Nashville and recently had a song that she has co-written played in Tennessee on WJJM Radio.
Carries debut EP and music video is available through Star One on Viacom Tv and Vevo. Her records can be described as a Mix of upbeat and slower relaxed ballads. Lush instrumentation intertwined with rich vocal lines and harmonies make for a captivating and rapturing listen. From the opening country spirit to the closing revenge, it’s clear from start to end that you, the listener are on a journey of highs and lows, lyrically melodically and instrumentally.
