Tell us about yourself:: I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, the oldest of 13 children.
I began composing songs for trumpet and piano at age 10.
Self-taught on the guitar while serving in the Marine Corps from 1977 to 1983.
Attended college at Spokane Falls, earned an Associate in Arts degree in one year.
Self-taught on piano, saxophone, flute, clarinet, bass and drums from 1983 to 1985.
Moved to Nashville in 1985. Released first single, "The Richest Man Alive" in 1987 with a
follow-up single, "Lovin' The Leavin' Away" in 1988.
Both songs got favorable reviews with the second single staying in the top 40 for 4
weeks on the independent charts in Cashbox magazine.
Worked as a sound engineer for MCE Productions from 1994 to 1996.
Co-wrote with Curb Records staff writer Barry Lee White from 1996 to 1998.
Produced 7 albums of self-penned Pop, Country and Crossover music during the 1990s.
Took a hiatus from the music business from 1999 to 2007 to build my own house
and pursue other creative interests.
Resumed writing and producing in 2007 to the present.
