Moving & shaking around town is the Nashville born Country band, Friends of Lola. FOL comprises siblings Houston & Cyrena Wages of Memphis, and Tennessee transplant, Gabe Rabben of Laguna Beach, California. The magic began in the fall of 2012 in a small Downtown Nashville apartment.

Pre FOL, Houston was in Los Angeles pursuing a career in acting, Cyrena was in Nashville beginning her senior year at Belmont University, and Gabe was based in Nashville, touring as the drummer for Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers. Gabe and Cyrena were set up on a blind date in Spring 2012, Houston and Gabe met later that summer in Memphis, and that night they wrote their first song in ten minutes. By September, Houston packed his bags, left the west coast, and joined the other two in Music City…Thus the birth of Friends of Lola (named after a neighbors 12 year old Boston Terrier). With influences stemming from The Band, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Hank Williams Sr. and Fleetwood Mac, it’s no secret these old soul kids were raised on old school musical influences. Their songs find a perfect balance between poetic yet translucent lyrics, with melodies that drive ya mad all day.
