Hailing from New Mills, New Brunswick, residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia for over a decade, Lisa Richard began demonstrating her vocal talents at the bright young age of four. She immediately entered the music business by belting out "Ballroom Blitz" for family and friends, charging a quarter per performance.
While studying in Toronto, she began a two-year stint singing harmonies and backup with local band Frank Perry’s Slice at such notable venues as the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, and the Opera House. Eventually Lisa found herself heading back East, settling in Halifax, Nova Scotia to explore the city's vast musical opportunities.
She formed her own cover band with a troupe of talented musicians called Walter’s Patio and for over 5 years, played around the Maritimes.
Lisa is a talented singer, treating fans to amazing, powerful vocals. Her range extends from rock to blues to country. She has been interviewed on radio and TV stations and a number of them play her music on the East Coast and abroad. She is also a top 10 CBC Searchlight Regional contest winner for original music. She released her debut EP working alongside producer Hal Bruce January 29, 2017. The title track has recently been nominated for Southern Rock Song of the Year for the Josie Music Award Show in Nashville where she also had an opportunity to perform with Vince Gill and the Grammy Award winning Time Jumpers.
