While recording her album Deep Calls to Deep at Cypress Records with accomplished Production Engineer David Plummer, Monica was introduced to the talented keyboardist Johnny Brown. Johnny Brown has collaborated with Al Green since the mid 70’s. Monica recalls; “When Mr. Plummer introduced me to Johnny Brown, referring my song titled What Do You See, Mr. Brown asked me if I was a fan of Grace Slick. I said “Of course, I love Grace Slick”. Mr. Brown then said; “You’ve got that Grace Slick kind’a style. You can sing real low, to real high, real quick”. As a result, after a brief and friendly introduction, Johnny Brown played the piano, organ, and strings on Monica’s album Deep Calls to Deep. Rightfully so, Monica is very proud to have Mr. Johnny Brown as a key player on her album. Also performing on the album is Justin A. Jadach on electric bass guitar.
