Terri G, launches her career in the Christian music industry and successfully becomes a singer, songwriter in today’s pop music. Surrounded by a musical family she taught herself to play piano working extremely hard to develop her skills as a singer. She used this talent to lead school choirs and perform at annual family events.
It was in church as a teenager she was exposed to the hymns and Christian stories that would later influence her work. Terri married Dana Gary in 1981. Years later the couple had three children.
In 1993, following an injury, she discovers a relationship with God. It was then she began to write songs and pull poetry from out under the bed. With much effort she and manager/ husband Dana began working together on a project they knew would touch the world. After releasing her first EP in 2003, the self-promoting album became a huge success. Her first performance on Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN drove her to write more songs.
Months later, her unique style led to a recording contract with Tate publishing. Her album "I Will Sing," reflects songs of love and devotion to God. Song "Righteous Heart," features pianist Jack Colombo from the early fifties band "Drifter’s."
Terri G is more than just your typical girl from Boston. Today she leads worship in her local church, volunteers at correctional institutions, performs acts for charity, leads women’s retreats, performs music in nursing homes, and continues to receive many awards for "Accomplished Poet and Songwriter."
She shares her gift on and off stage with sensitivity and compassion.
Although Terri is currently active, she continues to dive into the countless opportunities that will eventually take her to greater places.
Terri ended 2012 by branching out professionally; recording her latest song, "I Could Have Walked Away," with Producer Doc Holiday and the A Team at Quad Studios in Nashville, TN. She is currently joined with singer/songwriter David Niles writing lyrics and composing melodies for her next project, "Strong in You"
YES!!!......It's that time again!!!...VOTING!!!.....Please take a moment to stop by my page and listen to the first song that pops up and plays automatically. It's called "My summer song" It's been nominated for "Song of the year" as well as me being nominated "Songwriter of the year". Then after reviewing everyone else on the voting list I'm going to "ASK FOR YOUR VOTE!" I wish everyone on the ballet the best of luck.
I don't know you well enough and wish I had enough time to know you first before asking for such a thing from you. But I love writing songs and hope to someday be in a successful position writing for a living. I hope to get to meet you around town sometime soon. See you at the Nashville Universe Awards.
