Any 50's rock 'n roll fans on here? I'm playing guitar for Danny Lee and the Rock & Roll 3 the next 2 Saturdays! Also on the bill are The Getaways and other special guests. We're going to play Danny's originals as well as Elvis, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, etc.
Live rockabilly bands, DJ spinning 50's music.
Don't be a square Daddy'O! Come out and swing it!
I wrote 2 songs inspired by the celtic music I play with my brother. I'm flying back North next week for a run of shows with him and my former bandmates. You can download these songs for free in time for your St. Paddy's Day festivities!

Luke Amelang brings his style of old timey country/bluegrass to Miller's every Saturday night! I play mandolin, lead guitar and sing harmony and Shawn Supra plays upright bass.
For those of you who have never been to Miller's you are in for a treat! This converted grocery/restaurant has great food and a fun down home style atmosphere. I also highly recommend seeing the Friday night band "The Howling Brothers"...these guys can really pick!
5-9pm. Every Saturday. …Continue

Lately I've been noticing that most crowds at the venues I've been playing would rather hear modern rock than country. Has anyone else run into this? I mean...this is Nashville for crying out loud!!! People would rather hear a band cover Garbage or Journey more than Buck Owens or Ray Price. What the #$@*!
Honestly, that little corner on lower Broad (Roberts, Laylas, etc.) is the only place where the crowd really wants country music. Pretty ironic and funny if you ask me.…Continue
I struggled with the decision to do a blues recording...I knew it's not the kind of thing that gets attention from labels and such. Ultimately I decided to follow my muse and do what I wanted to do artistically. The EP entitled "Blue Heart" just got a great review...

Check out this review of my album written by Larry Vanderpool...
CDs available if anyone wants to purchase!
I started recording a collection of blues tunes in January 2011...and I'm happy to say that I think the tracking is finally done! It's a fun little bunch of tunes. Half originals, half covers, all soul. This project was a little different for me in that I did it live (including vocals) with no metronome. Old school. I got some great players in the same room, set up some mics and hit record! The stuff is swinging and honest. Some country-blues, some Sun Records sounding stuff, some…Continue
