Anytime someone starts something new, there are all kinds of anxiety about what NEEDS to be done but its almost always shadowed by the simple excitement of the ANTICIPATION of things to come! I've been singing and writing since I was a small child, but didn't really gain much of the confidence needed to do anything with it til I became an adult. Then there were kids and a marriage and taking care of a house...trying to develop a STEADY income to support the dream...you know....LIFE!
Now, I've got the kids "raised" (okay, well at least out of the house! LOL!), and even managed to get a "career" started that can bring in money (if our darn economy would settle down), but I'm back in school to add to the career to even out the income and add fuel to the music dream which has finally started taking on a life of ITS own!
Now I'm started....one demo album, and 2 original albums, and (when my next hefty check comes in) my 3rd album will FINALLY be out and I have to say, I think this one will be my finest album yet with some of the best songs I have EVER written and produced by one of Oklahoma's GREAT (but little known) recording men and producers. Nik has managed to make my music SING in its own voice and truly SHINE in ways I never imagined it would or even COULD do.
My sweet friend from Oklahoma, Lucas Ciliberti and his mom, Bridget, were dear enough introduce me to this page and here I sit once again at a precipice....ready to take a new leap of faith. God has been ever present in EACH of the steps I have taken with my music and I have no doubt He will continue to show me the right pathways. As I prepare to leap from the ledge, I am reminded to be humble in all that I do and not be afraid to say, where do I go next, what do I do now and where do I find the best (yet least expensive) resources to get those jobs/things accomplished. I'm open to suggestions and even referrals, but ask that those who suggest or refer understand that I take my time so as not to TOTALLY drain my financial resources.
I LOVE and am pretty darn good at networking and truly believe in the barter system as well. (Too bad our economy no longer values that like it used to in the past!) So Nashville, here I am, my feet have hit the ground (or at least have hit the air right above it! LOL!) and I'm ready for a voice of reason and a shoulder of support and an awesome network of information and resources.
I send out the good Lord's love to ALL who come by this page and web site and pray God's enduring mercy, favor and showering blessings upon all that you do and say!
Peace, love and blessings always!
