We live in a truly global marketplace, where a songwriter can have his or her music, made in many differing global locations.

I recently had the drums to a track put down by a drummer in his studio in France, I put the guitars and bass down here in Somerset UK, the sax was done in another part of the UK, and a Nashville vocalist added vocals at his own studio in Music City! It came back here to be mixed!

It is true to say that there are not the limitations that we once faced, with finding local people, but it is not always easy to get a 'remote musician' or vocalist, to play or sing the way you want, when you are not there to direct or produce the performance.

I think, as the business becomes even more global, and with more technology, it will become a totally instant and interactive process, a little like ISDN is used in radio. (Some bigger studios already do this)

Do let's go global - I am always looking for new vocalists to work with, male and female, so get in touch!
