Just exactly what is my show Redneck Week.

Since joining the Nashville Universe, several of you have contacted me wanting to know exactly what my show, Redneck Week, is all about.  Rather than just being rude and say "watch it", I thought I would take a few minutes to tell all about it. Redneck Week is a show produced, starring, and written for the most wonderful yet misunderstood of all types of people, the Redneck.  This show consists of news, sports, entertainment, music, comedy, and much more just for people who are Rednecks or like to live the redneck lifestyle.  If you know who Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White, Larry the Cable Guy, and a few others are, then you are at the right place.

 

This is a relatively new production, that gets its roots from another show I used to host "Hillbilly Heaven with Jason Wild" which used to appear on the www.nowlive.com website.  Now live has since decided to go a new direction with their business model, hosting live movie premeires in Hollywood.  John Halloran and his staff are exceptional people, and I do wish them all the best in this endeavor.

 

Redneck Week, is the rebirth, so to speak, of the Hillbilly Heaven show.  Although we are new at this, the show will evetnually consist of a sketch comedy (Similar to a mix of Saturday Night Live and the old Hee-Haw shows) but with an interactive live chat so that you can chat with other viewers as you watch the show.  There will also be news segments, politics, special interest, health, business, etc, all allowing you to voice your two cents worth!  We will also be installing in the near future telephone/skype lines that will allow you to call in and speak directly with the stars on the show at certain times, and also call in during interviews with country artists so you can ask them questions directly as well.

 

Like we said, we are new at this, and getting the programming and the look of the show is the biggest challenge we yet have to face.   I invite each and every one of you to join us ever Thursday at 9PM Eastern, right here from the Nashville Universe ( you will be able to view the broadcast, as well as click on a link and be taken to the main page so you can chat with other viewers).  Please don't be afraid to send us your feedback, let us know what we can do better.  SO mark you calendars and be sure to join us this and every Thursday at 9:00PM right here.  You'll be glad you did.
