Event Description

Ed Gary, Nashville Recording Artist and Prescott Opry Emcee says:  “I’m often asked why I don’t feature our multi-talented Band Members more often?  Well, you are in for a real treat this month because we’re going to do just that!”  We will also feature our first Opry Intern, Yavapai College music student Cheyenne Jasper.  And, as the icing on the cake, we have for your enjoyment the mega talents of Ms. Linda Sue Baker.  Can it get any better than that?!?  We’ll let YOU be the Judge…

LINDA SUE BAKER: Currently a member of “AZ LEGENDS OF COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW” Linda Sue has been recording in Nashville since the age of 13.  An exceptional singer/songwriter she will delight you with her tribute to the Ladies Of Country Music, choosing from the works of Martina McBride, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire and Tammy Wynette, to name a few.  Throughout the years Linda Sue’s bands have opened for such Country notables as Blake Shelton, Joe Diffie, Martina McBride and Earl Thomas Conley.  Her deep resonant voice has been likened to a Country Cher!  You will truly enjoy this dynamic “Country Girl!”

STARS OF THE PRESCOTT OPRY: We will be featuring the Prescott Opry Band AND spotlighting three members in particular this month!

Denise Nasso, our KEYBOARDIST, and one of our back-up vocalist will delight you with her Country Jazz solos.  Fred Owsley’s talent as our LEAD GUITARIST is one of the best “pickers” you’ll ever get to enjoy hearing play for you.  And,Shari Lane is our Bass player who also does back-up vocals for our guest Artists.  Shari’s hot licks on the bass, coupled with her sultry vocals are sure to please.

CHEYENNE JASPER – FEATURED YOUTH ARTIST: This dynamic young Fiddler and vocalist has been with the Opry since its infancy… first as one of our original Featured Youth Artist, when she was a member of our newly adopted Youth Group “GENERATION,” and now as she pursues her music career atYavapai College.  Cheyenne is the OPRY’s first Intern, where she’s learning the business side of performing, as she hones her admirable musical skills.

BRUSH ARBOR REVIVAL: Always an audience pleaser, our Bluegrass Gospel Band brings the joyful noise of songs of praise and the best in family-friendly humor to our stage.
