Make sure on the road you don't pass up sleep,showers or a good meal. Take care of your self, exercise. Take care of yourself for the fans and people who support you. Don't stop practicing your instrument just because you landed the gig, keep practicing and learn new stuff to add to the show or your style of playing. This is an art , never stop growing and nurturing.
