Three Years ago this week we finished recording When You Hold Me Tight.

When You Hold Me Tight has traveled so much, it should have it's own frequent flyer program!

We recorded the track in Las Vegas. Added more in Chicago. Then finished it in Florida.

We taped the video in South Carolina and Georgia - and mixed it in Kyota Japan! And releasing it in Nashville! Talk about jet-lag!

While my name is in the title, this was a group effort with a lot of talented folks without who, it wouldn't have come together. Please let me thank them...

The Song:
Gene Sironen (Las Vegas) The bar I measure all producers by. His judicious use of the phrase "I think you have a better take in you" resulted in a song I'm proud to put my name on.

Enrique Corro (Las Vegas) My favorite guitar player. His licks always help define my sound.

Tommy Wayne (Las Vegas) Adding pedal steel to a rocker is no east feat, but Tommy pulled it off flawlessly!

Brian Littleton (Chicago) While Brian is credited with playing piano, he did a lot more - that he wants no credit for. Forever indebted.

Jesse Knoblach (Phoenix) Played bass slide, chose the song I recorded, and lent me his electric guitar to record with.

RJ Lamarche (Port St Lucie, FL) He usually sings lead vocals in his own band, I forced him to help out on harmony instead.

Volary (San Francisco) Giving Sam credit for just backup vocals would be an understatement. She added four parts - which make the song!

Ryan Copt (Florida) Engineer and Mastering. Ryan had to mix all the tracks from all the states into one cohesive unit, while chain-smoking an electronic cigarette! I think he did a great job!

The Video:
Jessicha Catalina McCann (Beaufort) Actress, assistant director and casting agent. She got everyone other then myself who's in the video.

The sweet lady with the Rolls who offered to drive me back to the homeless shelter in a chauffeured car in full Cowboy getup. I thought that would have caused an incident and decided not to :)

JR and the kind folks of the Lexington County Museum, who gave us free rein of the complex to do some of the pivotal scenes.
