Tell us about yourself:: Hi, I am Ann Powell Mattiuz-Safety Harbor, Fl. I am a Widow now since my husband of 30 yr's, passed away/ cancer, 4 yr's ago. I am a very Happy, Active, Healthy, Not Looking or Acting My Age! Being my "Own Woman," I can pick-up & go, & do, whatever, whenever; I want to do, now. I am "Soft on outside; But Hard as Need Be, on inside, but Do cry when hurt/sad! "People-Person," love to travel, love the Mountains & Streams especially, but also enjoy being around the water, on the beaches, close to where I live in Safety Harbor, & Clearwater Beach, Fl. Life is Grand, Starting Over, & I feel "So Blessed" in Life. I have two Beautiful, Wonderful Daughters, that I Love All Dearly; & their Hubby's & one Fantastic Granddaughter, that just graduated high school & very proud that she is interested in Music, having taken Piano lessons & is learning how to play the Guitar now. She has three, one being electric, that her granddad left her, as he was very musically talented; playing the piano, guitar, & several different instruments & also taught music lessons on all of them. She is already enjoying the atmosphere of playing music with group of her friends in a wanna-be band, but will be going soon to College, along with her friends. I have always played the piano all my life, & sang in school glee clubs, played piano & sang in my church choirs, & special music presentations alone & sometimes with my oldest daughter, Rita, as she played piano & has a beautiful voice, also. I have a Tremendous respect for all the very talented & up-coming artist both in writing music & performing the songs, as I know how much dedication, work, & yes, even "missed enjoyment" with others, at times; as I started piano lessons in third grade, walking a block to my music teacher's home, from school while rest of my school friends were at recess on playground having fun. But I Loved Music & I continued lessons, until I was much older, with piano recitals, fancy long evening gown's to wear to them, my talented seamstress Mom would make for me; & the thrill & excitement of performing on stage & doing well. That is; if you didn't hit any "bad notes." Nerves! LOL Being from SO. GA., raised on a huge farm we owned, having NO brothers & sisters; I learned to appreciate music, all types, very young, especially, country music. Of course, I was taught to play any genre of music, for well-rounded recital performances. And I also loved "gospel music." I retired from AAA Auto Travel Club HQ Tampa, Fl. as Purchasing Agent for all Traffic & Safety Materials for our many club branches in the U.S. & P.R. after 17 yr's there. I have experience from many career opportunities from working Federal Civil Service with the IRS in Houston, TX, to Marine Supply Base in my hometown in Ga, & 15 yr's with McKesson & Robbins Wholesale Drug Distributors. Also obtained a certificate in Basic Drafting after a year attending Horn's School of Drafting in Houston while I was there, & certificate in Data-Entry, always Loving anything with a "Keyboard!". Back in Ga, studied & obtained my Ga.State License as a Life/Health Insurance Agent, & also license for Fla. when moved here. I worked awhile at VA Hospital in Tampa, Fl. too. Since retiring, I still maintain my Love of Music, but became more creative with composing my own Poetry, & yes, wasn't enough, I also Design & Create Jewelry; Door Hangers & Wreaths for all occasions, Nature Angels, I make from a native Fla. plant, & love using my Recycled materials, sometimes. I take "Special Orders" for those wishing to purchase to beautify their homes, gardens, or as gifts; some depicted in my facebook pic albums. I have a sweet companion; 6 # apple-head Chihuahua, named "Buttercup. Remember,.It's a Beautiful Life: so enjoy it, & music is so Important! So Thanks to ALL the Artist's; Songwriter's, in Every Aspect of the Music Industry, as Music Can Change the World; A Mood; Touch the Heart! Keep Working Toward Your Goals, Make the Music!
