Lights. Camera. Music. Wow! Turn on the spotlight, give this girl a microphone and stand back. Bernadette Kathryn has been taking control of the stage since she was 5 years old. Normally known as the shy girl who sits in the back of class and reads, this teen Nashville recording artist/songwriter and proud member of the Country Music Association is grabbing the attention of artists and industry professionals throughout the Midwest, Kentucky and Tennessee.

With her classically trained voice, this young powerhouse looks up to the queens of country, Patsy, Reba and Loretta. She also enjoys the sassy bad girl vocals of the Dixie Chicks, Gretchen Wilson and Miranda Lambert.

Raised in the suburbs of Detroit, her music teachers didn’t know what to do with her. Her soulful vocals didn’t fit the cookie cutter style they taught in school. Never the less, she quickly latched on to Pop and Show Tunes and started winning vocal competitions and talent shows throughout Michigan. At age 13 she was invited to sing at the legendary Nashville Palace during the Country Music Awards Festival 2013 and adopted Country Music as her genre of choice. Since then she has written and recorded 9 original songs, released her EP “Not Too Young” (2014), and her music is being aired in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Bernadette Kathryn has performed at over 100 events, festivals and fundraisers in the past 12 months. In 2014, she was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Shooting Star awards with Nashville Universe. In 2015 she was nominated for Favorite Teen Artist and Best Teen Video at the New Country Music Awards and was the only teen selected to perform during the awards ceremony. She is currently attending a performing arts high school.
