Tell us about yourself:: If you love Country & Gospel music, then we must be soul-brothers & sisters!!! I started singing before I could walk, listening to my mom and dad harmonize as we drove along the way from Oklahoma to California. I started singing professionally in the 80s singing only Country songs, then in the mid-90s, Christ tapped me on the shoulder and said, "write inspirationally and it will be published". I took him at his word and now only occasionally write a country song as my heart leads me to write about God! I recorded in 1988 with Vern Pratt and released the song, "Let the sandman wait" under the name Betty Kean. It rose to the top #100 Cashbox charts in the fall of that year. A real thrill for me.

My song, Ain't gona walk that straightline, is being promoted by Diamondback records. It has been playing in New Zealand, Australia, Germany, and hopefully some American stations will see fit to play this Indy girls song! This is a country song that I wrote just for fun, however, my real love is writing songs for God.
