Brent Gafford is a 26 year old singer/songwriter from Carrollton, Georgia. Brent grew up with a love for music from an early age, playing in local bands with his older brother throughout his early high school years. After the band left home for college, Brent continued to perform as a solo acoustic artist, writing a little bit and playing shows throughout West Georgia. Brent’s influences range from a variety of genres, but his passion has always been with country music, idoling artists like Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown to name a few.
In the fall of 2011, while a student at the University of Georgia, Brent formed the “Brent Gafford Band”, a high energy country/rock cover band. The group began playing college bars in the Athens and Atlanta area. As BGB’s presence grew, they began booking larger gigs throughout the Southeast and have continued to expand their reach. The Brent Gafford Band frequents Atlanta venues including Wild Bill’s, Dixie Tavern, Georgia Dome Events, and The Lost Dog Tavern and Kramer’s. BGB has grown a steady fan base in Columbus, Georgia playing clubs like Outlaw Saloon and The Loft as well as in Auburn, Alabama becoming a local favorite at Skybar, 17-16 and Quixote’s.
In 2014, Brent set out to begin writing and performing original music to give his fans something to call his own. Recorded 7 song EP with Emmy award-winning producer Kenny Royster at Direct Image Studios in Nashville, TN. The EP, titled “Song on the Radio” was released in January 2016 and is available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, as well as all popular streaming services. The future is looking bright for Brent and the rest of the band as they open up a new realm of opportunities following the release of their debut EP and release of “Crash Test’ in 2017. The Brent Gafford Band consist of: front man Brent Gafford; drummer Josh Birmingham , Atlanta, Ga. Brent’s fiancée Lauren Justus, from Atlanta sings and plays violin and guitar; and fellow Carrollton native, Michael Harris, on the lead guitar; Ben Williams from Atlanta plays bass guitar.
