Born in August of 1971, Fred Hockenburry AKA Fred Myers grew up in Philipsburg, Pa and was a 1989 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School. He has two sons, Fred III and Jordan. Fred is self-employed with his parents. Fred has chosen the name “Fred Myers” as his stage name in honor of his grandmother, Elizabeth Myers and his former in-laws, Pete and Joan Myers. In 1999, Fred recorded two songs for AMI Records in Nashville. After completing the recordings, Fred was offered a six year contract with AMI, but turned it down because his children where so young. Since then, Fred has performed at numerous charity events and local venues. In 2010, Fred returned to Nashville to record his first album “Wild For You”. Now just over ten years later, Fred’s children are older, he has organized his country dream team and is ready to go to work – to do what he loves most.
