While most 17-year-old girls are spending their free time shopping and trading make-up tips with their friends, country-pop singer and songwriter Lily Nelsen is busy traveling the country performing for fans, creating new music with Grammy-nominated songwriters, learning about the music business and rocking the popular Country Stampede Music Festival in Manhattan, Kansas.
Nelsen has already performed at some of Nashville's most popular venues, including The Bridgestone Arena, The Listening Room, The Row and Opry Mills.
She also led in the creation of a compilation music CD to raise funds for the Kawasaki Disease Foundation. The cause is important to Lily because she personally battled the autoimmune disease when she was a young child. That isn't the only cause important to Lily as she also serves as a teen representative for Heart Songs for Veterans.
Meanwhile Lily has been honing her songwriting skills alongside Grammy-nominated songwriter Amanda Williams (Garth Brooks, George Jones) while working on a future album. Lily also has planned a new song and video release by Christmas 2014.
