Hi! In general, sports hiking (as strange as it may seem ) is not confined to sport. Such excursions acquaint visitors with the culture of the peoples who live in the area, allow you to enjoy the outstanding beauty of the surrounding scenery... It's an excellent blend of serious physical action and full spiritual comfort. Amazing!
My name is Melnichenko "Olymp" Ilya, I'm 34 years old and I am an instructor in sport tourism. I prepare individuals for hard, sometimes not at all touristy routes. I organize and execute hiking, canoeing, caving, sailing, multi-day ski and trekking tours. Now I blend two careers: teacher of additional instruction and coach in sport tourism. Each of these is related to tourism.
I enjoy travelling with pleasure and appreciate the emotions of sports so much that I decided to become an authority in this area and discuss my expertise with people who aren't indifferent to outdoor tasks like me. If a person perceives active sports tourism as kayaking or rock-climbing, I shall immediately clarify that this is not the situation. Previously in these busy sports excursions went only to children and pro athletes, but now the area of sport and tourism have changed and adapted to people of all ages and fitness levels.
I'd advise everybody to attempt it, as trekking is a very psychological game. You do not get that in the mountains at the fitness center or at yoga classes. It has extreme sensations, beautiful views, and overcoming yourself. Hiking is a game based on beating categorised challenges from the natural environment (mountain moves, peaks, rapids, canyons, caves, etc.), and on courses in the natural surroundings and on terrain that is artificial.
