Tell us about yourself:: Tonya Marie Faris was born in Knoxville Tennessee from Native American roots Cherokee from her mother's side of the family. Tonya began playing music at an early age when she was 5 years old, started Writing her own songs also playing the guitar. Tonya vision is writing and singing songs that have universal message with gut wrenching truth, Tonya understand the demographics of the younger audience, Her songs speaks to the things in there soul. Tonya have written over 300 songs, Her biggest asset the ability to write a song Lyrics & music in 5 minutes or less, She had done this since the age of 5. Tonya Marie Faris is one of the few artists who are able to fuse Southern Rock and Country of the 1960’s and 1970’s into her own style that no one can even imitate. It has even been said that she is the heiress to the legacy left by Janis Joplin and Woodstock.
